Titan, known for its adventurous and innovative takes on classic texts, brings the timeless story of Ebenezer Scrooge alive onstage with a cast of 12 adults and 6 children. This fresh and fast paced production transports audiences to Victorian England where they journey with the iconic Ebenezer Scrooge as he is visited by three transformational spirits from his past, present, and future who change his life forever. A classic story of redemption and forgiveness, A CHRISTMAS CAROL is the perfect theatre experience for everyone this holiday season.

It is both original and familiar – I know that the families and groups of friends who come to see it together will have a special experience,” said Queens Theatre Managing Director Taryn Sacramone. “This is an extremely exciting project for Titan to be a part of,” said Titan Managing Director and Producer Kevin Beebee. “We could not be more thrilled to continue to strengthen our relation with Queens Theatre, as well as the Queens community.”

The production stars Broadway’s Kevin Loomis (Spider-Man Turn off the Dark, Inherit the Wind) as Ebenezer Scrooge; John Taylor Phillips (Titan Resident Acting Company, American Players Theatre, Illinois Shakespeare, Utah Shakespeare) as Bob Cratchit; Laura Frye* (Titan Resident Acting Company, Virginia Shakespeare, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Teatro Franko Parenti) as Christmas Past/Mrs. Cratchit; Michael Selkirk* (Titan Resident Acting Company, Workshop Theatre, Hudson Warehouse) as Mr. Fezziwig/Christmas Present; Dylan Whitrock (Shakespeare & Company) as  Fred/Young Scrooge; Andy Baldeschwiler (The Pearl, Shakespeare Theatre on NJ) as Jacob Marley; Bailey Seeker (Titan Young Company, Cherry Lane, Secret Theatre) as Belle/Emily; Shayna Schmidt (Cincinnati Playhouse, Theatre for a New City) as Fan/Martha Cratchit; Ashton Crosby; Tom Morin; Wilmari Myburgh and Andrew Mazer. The children’s cast includes Layla Moon Blatz, Violet Wade, Quinn Theobald, Moore Theobald, Sohia Fiallo, and Sophie Carpa.

BIOGRAPHIES

LENNY BANOVEZ (Director, Co-Adapter, Titan Artistic Director) holds an MFA from the Professional Actor Training Program (PATP) at Ohio University and a BA in Theater Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. As an actor and director has worked at: Cherry Lane Theatre NYC, Theatre Row NYC, Milwaukee Repertory Theater, PCPA Theaterfest, Renaissance Theaterworks, Milwaukee Chamber Theater, Hyperion Theater Project NYC, Texas Shakespeare Festival, Virginia Shakespeare Festival, Milwaukee Shakespeare, Huron Playhouse, Secret Theater NYC, Hedgepig Ensemble Theatre NYC, Monomoy Theatre on Cape Cod, and as a guest artist at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Wayne State University, Marshall University, & University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. TITAN credits include: Hamlet and Love’s Labours Lost, as well as directing productions of A Midsummer Nights Dream, Romeo & Juliet, Henry V, Taming of the Shrew, Macbeth and Flaming Guns of the Purple Sage

EMILY TRASK (Co-Adapter, Titan Literary Director & Resident Acting Company Member) Originally from Wisconsin, Emily holds an M.F.A. in Acting from The Yale School of Drama, and a B.A. in Theatre with a concentration in Literature from Grinnell College.  As an actress Emily has worked with The Folger Theatre, The Bay Street Theatre, The Pioneer Theatre Company, The Hope Summer Rep, Montana Shakespeare, The Colonial Theatre, Next Act Theatre Co, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, The Yale Rep, Yale Cabaret, The Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, and Utah Shakespeare Festival.  In NYC, she has participated in productions, workshops, and readings at The Lincoln Center, The Lark, The Shakespeare Society/The Public, E.S.T./nym, WNYC/The Greene Space, and Three Day Hangover. She can be heard as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet and Ophelia in Hamlet on The Folger Library’s audiobooks/Shakespeare app.  Emily is also a Director (most recently in NYC – Phaeton at Stella Adler) and Dramaturg, and is a published contributing scholar to The Folger Luminary on-line Shakespeare Texts.  Titan Credits Include: a staged reading of The Edwin Booth Company Presents, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

CHARLES JOHN HUFFAM DICKENS (Writer) was an English writer and social critic. He created some of the world’s most well-known fictional characters and is generally regarded as the greatest novelist of the Victorian period. During his life, his works enjoyed unprecedented popularity, and by the twentieth century he was widely seen as a literary genius by critics and scholars. His novels and short stories continue to be popular.
