Showbiz NoFlo Social Scene: Live at the Ocala Symphony and Silver Springs International Film Festival’s “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”

The Ocala Symphony Orchestra in partnership with the Silver Springs International Film Festival presented the 1923 silent film classic The Hunchback of Notre Dame starring Lon Chaney accompanied by a haunting original score performed by the Ocala Symphony Chamber Orchestra, under the baton of Conductor Matthew Wardell. The event took place at the historic Marion Theatre and is part of the two-day “Silver Scream” festivities hosted by the Ocala Film Foundation which also includes a Halloween night screening of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, featuring a live shadow cast, following “Fandomonium” on the Downtown Square.

The Brick City Center For The Arts also threw a delectible pre-show party where Greg Thompson showed off his vocal prowess with numbers from the stage musical version of Hunchback as well as great rendition of “This Is The Moment” from Frank Wildhorn’s Jekyll & Hyde.
