Ocala Civic Theatre’s SLEUTH runs Jan 8 – 18th
The mystery/thriller Sleuth will be live on stage January 8-18, 2015 at Ocala Civic Theatre.
Mystery writer Andrew Wyke (Michael Nolan) and handsome Milo Tindle (Deion Howard) have two loves in common: games and Andrew’s wife. When Andrew invites his young rival to his English country house, a battle of wits begins in which the two schemers attempt to outsmart each other – and commit the perfect crime.
As they cleverly manipulate and turn the tables on each other, the stakes grow ever higher in this ultimate game of cat-and-mouse. Predator becomes prey as the players constantly trade roles, savagely toying with each other through inventive tricks and disguises in a murderous masquerade. Intricate and flawlessly executed, this diabolical thriller deftly blends danger with dark humor, weaving a web of deceit and revenge. The deadly suspense builds with every riveting plot twist through a labyrinth of intrigue and illusions – until the shocking end.
Sleuth is directed by Chip Morris, who has appeared in or directed more than 60 local theatrical productions. Shows he has directed at Ocala Civic Theatre in recent seasons include The Odd Couple, Self-Help, Steel Magnolias, and When Bullfrogs Sing Opera at Ocala Civic Theatre. Production stage manager for Sleuth is Laura Bradford.
