BLUE MAN GROUP HEATS UP THE SUMMER WITH EXPANDED PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE AT CHICAGO’S BRIAR STREET THEATRE 1 Blue Man Group, continuing its open run at Chicago’s Briar Street Theatre (3133 N. Halsted), is heating things up this summer with an expanded performance schedule that will provide audiences with additional opportunities to live in full color this summer. The robust performance calendar includes performances on Memorial Day (May 29), Father’s Day (June 18) and Fourth of July.Blue Man Group Chicago will also host an autism-friendly performance in collaboration with Autism Speaks Sunday, July 16 at 4 p.m. This performance will be the first of two Chicago autism-friendly performances scheduled for 2017, with the second performance scheduled for Sunday, October 1 at 4 p.m. Slight modifications will be made to the show in order to better accommodate individuals and families affected by autism. All tickets will be sold at a discounted price of $49, with $5 from every ticket purchased donated to Autism Speaks.

Blue Man Group performances are a celebration of human connection. Mixing art, music, comedy and state-of-the-art technology, the show encourages audiences to reconnect with their inner (and outer) child and see the world through a new perspective.  Three bald and blue men explore our cultural norms with wide-eyed wonder, poking fun at our collective quirks and reminding us how much we all have in common. Backed by a live rock band, the Blue Men unify the audience for the show’s celebratory climax – an unforgettable, euphoric dance party.
