Rae Luskin, author of the award-winning book The Creative Activist, will be hosting The Creative Activist Virtual Summit from August 15th – 22nd, 2016. With daily interviews that feature 24 expert guest speakers, the goal of the summit is to provide practical tools and tips on how to tap into your own creativity; connect and collaborate; to take a dream and turn it into reality.“This is a master class for community leaders, artists, change agents and thoughtful citizens interested in making a difference. It doesn’t matter what your dream for a better world may be: gender equality, a sustainable planet, peace, cultural competency, this is the place to discover your voice and increase your impact and influence,” said Ms. Luskin, when describing her upcoming summit.

Published a year ago, Luskin’s book has received glowing reviews and responses from business leaders, community leaders and community activists of all types. Knowing from personal experience that creativity and the arts can be used to transform personal and collective consciousness, uplift humanity, and nurture the heart and soul, Luskin has developed the Creative Activist Manifesto. As much a declaration of intent as a proclamation of purpose, it encompasses her vision of the path for Creative Activists to create better communities, and a better world, encouraging them to:

  • Cultivate courage, curiosity and collaboration
  • Realize one person can make a difference
  • Embrace their unique gifts and talents
  • Transform their lives to be the change they wish to see
  • Ignite inspired, imaginative and innovative ideas and solutions
  • Value personal stories of resilience and speak their truth
  • Empower and energize themselves and the world through a powerful vision

“My mission is to create a movement; to engage, educate, and empower 1 Million Creative Activists. I believe through sharing our creative voices and visions we can raise awareness of important social issues, move people from apathy to action and drive change. – each of us can make a difference,” Ms. Luskin said.
