Navy Pier is celebrating “wheel love” with free Centennial Wheel rides in honor of Valentine’s Day and National Ferris Wheel Day on Thursday, February 14. From 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., pre-registered guests will have the opportunity to take their Valentines for a romantic ride aboard the city’s beloved attraction, which features enclosed and heated gondolas and picturesque views of the lake and skyline from 200 feet above ground. In addition, one lucky couple will be treated to a complimentary Valentine’s Day date at the Pier that evening – complete with dinner, dessert, a caricature drawing, a gift basket and a cozy VIP ride on the Centennial Wheel.
Those interested in taking advantage of the free Centennial Wheel ride offer must RSVP online in advance and present their reservation ticket at the Pier Park Box Office upon arrival to redeem the ride. Approximately 2,014 – in honor of 2/14 – complimentary tickets are available to guests on a first-come, first-serve basis. Thereafter, tickets will be available for purchase on site. Discounted tickets are available to Illinois residents and U.S. military members upon presenting a valid ID at the Pier Park Box Office. For an extra special Valentine’s Day experience, guests can reserve the VIP gondola – featuring four plush seats, a glass bottom and other premium perks – by calling 312-595-5021.
