Giordano Dance Chicago, currently under the leadership of Artistic Director Nan Giordano and Executive Director Michael McStraw, is a world-class dance company and a driving force in Chicago’s thriving performing arts community. The company’s new works continually expand the boundaries of jazz and contemporary dance. The company also has an active outreach and education program in three Chicago Public Schools.

GDC celebrates its 50th Anniversary with its 2012-2013 season. GDC is not only one of the longest running professional dance companies in Chicago, but few dance companies in the U.S. have achieved this milestone. Earlier this year, after 50 years in Evanston, Giordano Dance Chicago moved its rehearsal/teaching space and administrative office into the heart of downtown Chicago.

GDC has joined with several other Chicago-based dance companies that are part of the exciting American Rhythm Center (ARC), located in the city’s dance corridor at 410 South Michigan Avenue in the historic Fine Arts Building. GDC will be rehearsing and offering public classes in ARC’s newly remodeled studios. GDC’s administrative office is now located just a few short blocks south of ARC at 1509 S. Michigan Avenue, in Chicago’s beautiful South Loop. For more information about GDC, their 50th Anniversary and their programs, call 312-922-1332 or visit giordanodance.org.
