Drury Lane Theatre Features a Lavish Easter Brunch with the Easter Bunny on Sunday, April 20

Brunch BuffetOn Sunday, April 20 from 10:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., the newly renovated Drury Lane, 100 Drury Lane, will feature a festive Easter Brunch that diners of all ages will enjoy.  Children will have a special opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Following Brunch, guests may also choose to attend the 7:00 p.m.performance of the Tony Award-winning musical, Les MisérablesReservations are required by calling 630.530.8300 in advance. Limited brunch/theatre tickets are still available.

The menu for the Easter Brunch features an enticing array of gourmet selections.  Starters include Muffins, Bagels, Croissants, Sweet Breads and Rolls, Seasonal Fresh Fruit and Vegetables, Crudités, Smoked Lox, Antipasti, Bruschetta, Marinated Olives, Assorted Cheeses, Spinach Salad, Caesar Salad, and Pasta Salad. Entrees include Penne Pasta, Meatballs in Pomodoro Sauce, Italian Sausage with Sweet Bell Peppers, Green Beans, Rice Pilaf, Crab Cakes, Oysters Rockefeller, Baked Salmon, Crabmeat Salad, Shrimp, Ceviche, Mussels, Smoked Bacon, Sausage Links, French Toast, Breakfast Potatoes, Quiche Loraine, Scrambled Eggs and Cheese Blintzes. The buffet also features a Carving Station with hand-carved Roast Turkey, Roast Prime Rib, Baked Ham, and Leg of Lamb with trimmings including Butter Whipped Potatoes, Herb Stuffing, Turkey Gravy, Horseradish Sauce, and Cranberry Sauce. A Kids’ Station offers Chicken Fingers, Corn Dogs, Pizza, and Tater Tots.

For dessert, guests are invited to indulge in the hand scooped Ice Cream Sundae Station with an assortment of delicious toppings. Other sumptuous sweets include Pastries, Pies, Cheesecakes, and Chocolate Mousse. Champagne, Bellinis and Mimosas are included and a Bloody Mary Bar is also available at an extra charge.

Les Misérables is directed by multi-Jeff Award winner Rachel Rockwell (Ragtime, The Sound of Music, Sweeney Todd, and Oliver! at Drury Lane Theatre), the cast is led by Ivan Rutherford (“Jean Valjean” in over 2,000 performances of Les Misérables on Broadway, as well as in the 20th anniversary Broadway Revival and The National Tour of Les Misérables, and Titanic on Broadway); Jeff Award-winner Quentin Earl Darrington as “Javert” (Ragtime on Broadway and at Drury Lane Theatre, Memphis: A New Musical on Broadway and The National Tours of The Lion King, The Color Purple, and Memphis: A New Musical); and Jennie Sophia as “Fantine” (The National Tour of The Lincoln Center’s South Pacific and Oliver! and The Sound of Music at Drury Lane Theatre).

The sweeping tale of Les Misérables features a book by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg, lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer, and music by Claude-Michel Schönberg. Based on Victor Hugo’s classic novel, Les Misérables travels through three turbulent decades of 19thcentury France. Steeped with romance, passion, suspense and humanity, it is the story of the fugitive Jean Valjean, who is in a lifelong struggle to evade being captured as he is relentlessly pursued by the sanctimonious Inspector Javert. Les Misérables is the winner of over 50 international theater awards, including eight 1987 Tony Awards (two of which were for Best Musical and Best Score). The musical has been translated into 21 different languages and has been seen by more than 65 million people worldwide.
