The Acorn Theater is open on Tuesday nights for a night of music, comedy poetry-and anything else the community wants to showcase. PERFORMERS: To reserve a slot, please email Sandra Thompson at sandra@acorntheater.com. Musicians-10 minute limit. Spoken word performers-5 minute limit.

Wednesday, November 19th: Steppin’ Out Lessons at 7 PM, Dancing at 7:30PM

Come dance to everything from swing, freestyle, Latin dances, rumbas, fox trots, and people’s choice. There’ll be line dancing as well, complete with the Acorn disco ball. From 7-7:30 PM, there’ll be optional dance instruction. Pre-paid reservations are $8, pay at door $10.

Thursday November 20th: A Staged Reading of It’s A Wonderful Life, 7:30 PM, Tickets $15

Acorn Theater presents a staged reading of one of the most loved holiday films. Directed by Arnie Saks, Acorn’s It’s A Wonderful Life will feature Martha Cares as Mary, Bob Swan as Mr. Potter, David Lahm on piano and Darren Stephens as Clarence. Dennis Scott will play a short pre-show concert on the Barton Theater organ! Proceeds from this event will support Radio Harbor Country’s “Reach the Beach” campaign and Harbor Arts’ “Support the Acorn…It’s A Wonderful Theater” campaign.

Friday, November 21st: Suzzy Roche and Lucy Wainwright, 8 PM Tickets: $20

Suzzy Roche and Lucy Wainwright, a mother/daughter duo, have just released their first collaboration, Fairytale and Myth, which won the VOX/POP INDEPENDENT MUSIC AWARDS for The Best Singer/Songwriter Award for 2014. Suzzy Roche is a founding member of The Roches and Lucy (daughter of Loudon Wainwright and Suzzy Roche, a brother of Rufus and Martha), is known for her crystal clear voice, humorous stage presence and insightful melodic songwriting. Their show is a fun filled evening of smart, thoughtful, songs with plenty of familial harmonies.

Saturday, November 22nd: Staged Reading of It’s A Wonderful Life, Catered Reception at 6:30 PM; Show Time:8 PM; $15 General Admission, $40 for VIP Reception
