American Idol’s David Hernandez Headlines ‘Dancing Queen’

Chicago’s newest entertainment destination, is pleased to announce the second production in their summer series, Dancing Queen, starring American Idol’s David Hernandez, June 14 – 24, 650 West Chicago Ave. The performance schedule is Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 2, 5 and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 and 5 p.m. Tickets for Dancing Queen are $35 – $75 and may be purchased online, www.RiverfrontTheater.
Dancing Queen gives audiences “the time of their life” with a Broadway-style production featuring the hits of the 70s including the best of ABBA, from “Dancing Queen” to “Waterloo” and everything in between; a salute to Donna Summer, the “Queen of Disco;” and a song and dance compilation highlighting the iconic film “Saturday Night Fever.” American Idol’s Top 12 Finalist David Hernandez joins the large cast of singers and dancers in these numbers and many more. Perfect for all ages, from the people who remember the 70s to those that wish they were part of it, Dancing Queen is a non-stop party that encourages the audiences to dance in the aisles and shake their groove thing.
ABOUT DAVID HERNANDEZ
Actor/singer/songwriter, David Hernandez, gained national attention with his powerful voice and affable personality as an American Idol finalist. He began acting and singing at age six, starring in musicals and performing with various theatre companies throughout Arizona. As a young teenager David began writing original music and recording his material.
A Phoenix native, Hernandez recently moved to Hollywood where he is writing new songs, working in the recording studio producing his newest music, and pursuing his passion for acting. He has already completed his first feature film as the lead in the movie Synthetic Truth. In addition to American Idol, David has showcased his talents on The Ellen Show, The Today Show, MTV’s TRL, EXTRA, Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, Teen Choice Awards, TV Guides’ Sexiest Stars 2008, Idol Tonight, Idol Gives Back and FOX-TV.
