Ocala Civic Theatre’s DIXIE SWIM CLUB Runs November 6 -30th
The comedy The Dixie Swim Club is live on stage November 6-30 at Ocala Civic Theatre!
Five Southern women, friends since their college swim team, reunite every summer at a beach cottage on North Carolina’s Outer Banks. Over beachfront biscuits and cocktails, these eccentric, endearing ladies share their hopes and regrets, sorrows and secrets. Energetic team captain Sheree Hollinger (Laura Bradford) keeps everyone organized. Lexie Richards (Danuta Jacob)would rather hang onto her youth and good looks than husbands. Vernadette Simms (Ginny Riley) lives under a dark cloud of misfortune. Dinah Grayson (Susan Moring) always has a dry martini in her hand and an even drier wisecrack prepared. And sweet Jeri Neal McFeeley (Kim Wise) is full of surprises.
As the years go by, the five friends rely on their enduring bond to overcome life’s challenges. Whether celebrating or consoling, these buoyant belles stay afloat through time and tides with love, laughter, and a lifetime of memories. This charming comedy is blessed with humor and heart, promising that no matter what fate flings their way, these warm and witty women are a team forever – and the sisterhood keeps on swimming!
