The Royal Opera House Cinema Series Presents Puccini’s “La Bohème” In Select U.S. Movie Theaters Beginning February 20, 2014 1 The extraordinary cast of performers include:


The Royal Opera House Cinema Season brings the remarkable production of one of Puccini’s best loved operas of all time, La Bohème, to more than 200 movies theaters across the country.Director John Copley’s definitive production of this truly romantic opera, a panorama of 1830s Parisian life, conjures emotions and atmosphere ranging from joy to tragedy, in large-scale crowd scenes and intimate tableaux.

The extraordinary cast of performers include:

  • Maija Kovalevska as Mimì, previously known for Carmen in 3D 2010.
  • Dmytro Popov as Mimì’s lover Rodolfo, acclaimed for playing Rodolfo in Robert Dornhelm’s film version of the opera as well as the title role in The Royal Opera’s “Don Carlo.”
  • Stefania Dovhan as Musetta
  • Audun Iversen as Marcello

Beginning Thursday, February 20, 2014 (evening) and Sunday, February 23, 2014 (matinee)
