Metropolis partnered with Arlington Heights Memorial Library to present an evening with Jesse Kellerman, the author of five novels: The Executor, The Genius, Trouble, Sunstroke and his latest, Potboiler. Mr.  Kellerman talked about his latest psychological thriller and about his writing. A book signing and sale  followed his presentation.

In Potboiler, middle-aged college professor Arthur Pfefferkorn reconnects with the widow of his oldest friend, bestselling thriller writer William de Vallèe, who is lost at sea. Pfefferkorn is torn between envy and grief, for de Vallèe not only outshone him professionally, but married the woman he also loved. His decision plunges him into a shadowy realm of double crosses and intrigue.
