Redtwists’ World Premiere of ANOTHER BONE Runs Sept. 20- Oct. 19

ABlogo400webMarie is a 9/11 widow who lost her fireman husband in the tragedy. Five years later, she is remarried to a fine man, and her teenage son is doing well. That’s when the bones start coming–and keep coming–via Fedex from the NYC authorities. Then a mysterious woman appears, telling Marie she’s getting the wrong bones. The world-premiere of Another Bone asks the question: how do you move forward after total devastation, and all the debris that goes with it? Featuring Jeff Award-winner, Jacqueline Grandt, along with Redtwist company members, Jan Ellen Graves and Michael Sherwin.
  • Playwright, Cathy Earnest, is a Senior Network Playwright at Chicago Dramatists 2012-2014. Another Bone was a finalist at the Ashland New Plays Festival and a 2012 Finalist at The O’Neill.
  • Actress, Jacqueline Grandt, an Arlington Heights resident, who plays Marie, the 9/11 widow in Another Bone, won a Jeff Award for Best Principal Actress for Bug.
  • Actress, Jan Ellen Graves, a Skokie resident, who plays Marie’s best friend and a non-9/11 fireman’s widow, is Redtwist’s Managing Director, and she recently directed Redtwist’s Jeff Recommended world premiere of Geezers.
  • Actor, Justin Burns, who plays the teenage son, is the proud recipient of the inaugural Harold Ramis Scholarship at The Second City where he’s learning the art of standup comedy.
