Redtwists' World Premiere of ANOTHER BONE Runs Sept. 20- Oct. 19 1 Marie is a 9/11 widow who lost her fireman husband in the tragedy. Five years later, she is remarried to a fine man, and her teenage son is doing well. That's when the bones start coming--and keep coming--via Fedex from the NYC authorities. Then a mysterious woman appears, telling Marie she's getting the wrong bones. The world-premiere of Another Bone asks the question: how do you move forward after total devastation, and all the debris that goes with it? Featuring Jeff Award-winner, Jacqueline Grandt, along with Redtwist company members, Jan Ellen Graves and Michael Sherwin. NEWSBITS Playwright, Cathy Earnest, is a Senior Network Playwright at Chicago Dramatists 2012-2014. Another Bone was a finalist at the Ashland New Plays Festival and a 2012 Finalist at The O'Neill.
Actress, Jacqueline Grandt, an Arlington Heights resident, who plays Marie, the 9/11 widow in Another Bone, won a Jeff Award for Best Principal Actress for Bug.
Actress, Jan Ellen Graves, a Skokie resident, who plays Marie's best friend and a non-9/11 fireman's widow, is Redtwist's Managing Director, and she recently directed Redtwist's Jeff Recommended world premiere of Geezers.
Actor, Justin Burns, who plays the teenage son, is the proud recipient of the inaugural Harold Ramis Scholarship at The Second City where he's learning the art of standup comedy.
Director, Ian Frank, was the director and composer for Shipwrecked! An Entertainment at Redtwist, has worked on over a dozen productions at Actors Theatre of Louisville, and is a faculty member at the Kentucky Governor's Scholars Program.
