Cabaret Show

Clown acts, “humanette” puppets, a live silent movie, ukuleles, live music and more! Hosted by Plucky Rosenthal, a vintage vaudeville performer with a musical twist, the fun-filled evening includes: Vanessa S. Valliere’s “humanette” puppet show Your Best Self (puppetry by Manual Cinema’s Lizi Breit); live music from lit-folk trio 80 Foots Per Minute; and The Nowhow (and How to Now! It), performed by Curious Theater Branch’s Jenny Magnus – followed by an audience participation creative writing act.

A Survival Guide To The Holidays

Top-notch writers and performers including Julie GaneyIke HolterAlan NeffMia McCulloughJeremy OwensTanya Palmer and Sharon Lanza entertain and advise us how to survive the holiday season with personal holiday tales. The evening will also includes a live musical performance by local country/folk duo River Rising.

Pivot Arts’ POP UP! PERFORMANCE SERIES occurs monthly at local businesses and empty storefronts throughout the Far North Side. Pivot Arts’ partnerships with local businesses help boost the local economy by bringing arts patrons directly to establishments in Chicago’s Uptown and Edgewater neighborhoods. Past POP UP! business partners have included FLATS Chicago, Independent Spirits, Lickity Split Custard and Sweets, Hopleaf, Metropolis Coffee, Kitchen Sink and Burke’s Pub.
