New Ensemble Chicago Symphonic Winds Presents Debut Concert Friday, November 2
Chicago Symphonic Winds is proud to present its first formal concert on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 7:30 pm. After performing various chamber works across Chicago, Chicago Symphonic Winds is excited to introduce its first full-length performance at Gorilla Tango Bucktown. Opening with a celebratory brass nonet, the repertoire for this performance explores standard selections for wind ensemble from French, German, Russian, and American composers. Featured works are Riegger’s Nonet for brass, Stravinsky’s Octet for Winds, Milhaud’s Little Symphony No. 5, and Strauss’ Serenade in E-flat major.
