MCCALLUM THEATRE TO HOST THIRD ANNUAL FAMILY FUN DAY

The McCallum Theatre will kick off its 2014-15 season with the Third Annual McCallum Theatre Family Fun Day set for Sunday, October 19, 2014.Proceeds from this special event will support theatre operations including the McCallum Theatre Institute, the Theatre’s award-winning arts education program that provides arts training to 40,000 students and educators annually, serving 70% of Coachella Valley classrooms.  The H.N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation is the Presenting Sponsor of Family Fun Day.

Family Fun Day at the McCallum begins at noon on Sunday, October 19th with food, games, and fun activities for the entire family including face painting, theatre and music games, balloon pops with fantastic prizes, a silent auction, food vendors, action characters and much more.  At 2:30pm, all ticket-holders will move into the Theatre to enjoy a dazzling performance featuring Theatre of Physical Comedy, AGA-BOOM, a unique style of theatrical clowning that combines the unbridled silliness of slapstick comedy with theatrical expressionism, poetry, and the European avant-garde.
