From stories born from childhood days spent sitting on the stoop entertaining friends and his 100-member-plus PuertoRican family to his many career moves (boxer, bouncer, radio personality, teen counselor, maximum-security prison officer working with some of the most hardened criminals in the Midwest), Rob’s stories are spun with humor and heart. Now in his upcomingdebut show “The Spanglish Memoirs,” Rob willenterain audiences and take them back to a time of innocence, cucos in the closet, inappropriateabuelitas, and calls and visits to La Isla.Never rehearsed, Rob’s storytelling is the real deal: unscripted and raw, he relies on memory and audience reaction. “The Spanglish Memoirs” is part storytelling, part stand-up and sketch comedy, part improv, parte disparate, and all corazon.
