Michel Chapoutier is one of the most highly regarded winemakers in France. Since taking over his family firm in 1990, Michel Chapoutier has transformed the winery into the leading Rhône Valley producer. He combines the modern and the traditional: crusading for biodynamic winemaking and experimenting with cutting edge winemaking techniques while expanding operations around the globe to countries including Australia and Portugal and even the U.S. This restless energy and unconditional commitment to quality has produced tremendous success. In 2003 alone, Maison M. Chapoutier’s wines garnered no less than 88 ratings of 90+ points.

“We are overwhelmed with countless options!” says Kirby Matthews, Geja’s General Manager. “Where do we start with a winery of this caliber? We might have to serve ten courses just to sample a fraction of Chapoutier’s award-winning wines”.

The evening begins with a 6:30 reception followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m. A representative of the winery will engage the guests in a lively discussion of the evening’s wines. The four-course dinner features Geja’s house salad, Cheese fondue, Beef Tenderloin, Chicken & Jumbo Shrimp Entree, and Flaming Chocolate fondue for dessert. Each course will be paired with the appropriate wine. Cost for each dinner is $60 per person, which includes the wines, dinner, tax, and gratuity. Reservations are required for the dinners, and interested parties are encouraged to act quickly as the popular Winemaker Dinners tend to sell out.
