Geja’s Cafe presents Dosio Vigneti Winemaker Dinner Sept. 8th
Guests of Geja’s Café, 340 Armitage Ave, will enjoy some world class wines at the Dosio Vigneti Winemaker Dinner on Monday, September 8th at 6:30 p.m. The wines stem from Dosio’s philosophy: only quality grapes can make great wines. Exposure, slope, and the nature and structure of the soil are of fundamental importance, but must work together with a careful tending of vineyards that respects the region. The little use of technology without altering the natural processes optimizes the production process to produce beautiful wines. Paired with a delicious four-course meal featuring mouth-watering beef tenderloin and flaming chocolate fondue, the Dosio Vigneti Winemaker Dinner makes for the perfect night out
“This winery and region are what Italian wine is all about, combining tradition, location and revered world-class juice. We will be serving wines some people have only dreamed of. We can’t wait!” said Blake Farnsworth, Geja’s Wine Buyer.
Founded in 1974, Dosio is now an established reality in the panorama of world-class wines from Piedmont. Located in the hills of La Morra, in the heart of the Langhe, Dosio’s production is the perfect combination of tradition and innovation. Among with the wines that have made the Langhe region famous worldwide are Barolo, Dolcetto, Barbaresco, Barbera and Nebbiolo. Dosio’s production includes new creations such as Langhe Freisa, Langhe Nebbiolo Barilà and Langhe Rosso Eventi, made from Merlot grapes.
The evening begins with a 6:30 reception followed by dinner at 7:00 with a lively discussion of the evening’s wines. The four-course dinner features Geja’s house Salad, Cheese Fondue, Beef Tenderloin, Chicken & Jumbo Shrimp Entrée, and Flaming Chocolate Fondue and coffee for dessert. Each course will be paired with the appropriate wine. Cost for each dinner is $55 per person, which includes the wines and dinner. Tax and gratuity are included. Reservations are required for the dinners, and interested parties are encouraged to act quickly as the popular Winemaker Dinners tend to sell out quickly.
