ENO OFFERS MONTLY “ENOVERSITY” WINE EDUCATION SERIES THIS AUTUMN

image002The chic wine lounge ENO, located at Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park, 200 N. Columbus Drive, will feature an autumn series of “ENOversity” education classes. Perfect for wine novices and aficionados, ENOversity offers a casual, educational and fun tasting experience for all.

Each ENOversity class features fun, interactive, and unpretentious instruction on the dynamics of wine, cheese and chocolate by some of Chicago’s skilled winemakers, sommeliers, cheese makers and chocolatiers. Classes will explore the histories, types and flavors of exquisite wines by suggesting cheese and chocolate pairings, each individually chosen to complement the night’s unique wine selections. Upcoming ENOversity classes are as follows:

  • ·         Tuesday, October 15 at 6 p.m.– Because It’s Ladies’ Night (Breast Cancer Awareness Month Donation Opportunity)

  • ·         Tuesday, December 17 at 6 p.m. – Santa’s Little Helper
This holiday season, ENO has gift-giving covered. This class will showcase great gift ideas for everyone—whether it’s a wine-loving boss or a relative who has it all.

Situated in the center of the Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park’s contemporary lobby, ENO is a trendy space devoted to savoring three of the world’s most delightful indulgences: wine, cheese and chocolate. The elegant, slightly recessed space is designed to look like a traditional wine cellar, with soft, intimate lighting, rustic tones of burnt sienna and eggplant, and dramatic, 10-foot tall temperature-controlled oak cabinets that both showcase and store the wines at optimal temperatures. ENO’s global wine list touts 300 to 500 different bottles, with 60 wines available by the glass and 20 available by flight. Each of the flights contain tastings that can focus on anything—from three Pinot Noirs from the same valley to three Chardonnays from the same year. ENO’s chocolate menu spotlights a selection of handmade truffles and bars from local chocolatiers, served in pieces or by flight. The lounge’s menu also highlights cheeses from small producers around the world, including a number of Midwest-sourced varieties.

ENO is open Sunday through Saturday, from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. ENOversity classes are held in the Eno Wine Room. Classes are $30 per person, which includes wine and assorted pairings. ENOversity class dates are subject to change, and space is limited, so reserve a spot by calling 312-946-8953 or emailingDaniel.freedman@fairmont.com.
