Northlight Theatre Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Tim Evans announce E. Faye Butler in Concert. This one-night-only concert event will be held at 7:30pm on February 8, 2016 at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd in Skokie.

From jazz to pop, showtunes to blues, E. Faye Butler and her musicians present the music made famous by America’s favorite women of song, including Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington and more. An accomplished actress and singer with international acclaim, Ms. Butler’s past Northlight appearances include Ella, Dinah Was, Black Pearl Sings! and several SOLD OUT New Year’s Eve concerts.

She is the recipient of six Jeff Awards, four Black Theater Alliance Awards, an After Dark Award, a John Barrymore Award, a Rockford Area Music Industry Award, two Helen Hayes Awards, an Excellence in the Arts Award, a Kathryn Lampkey Award and an Ovation Award. Ms. Butler was the recipient of the 2011 Sarah Siddons Society Leading Lady Award; she was also named a 2012 Lunt Fontanne Fellow and was inducted into the National Women in the Arts Museum in Washington, DC, in 2012.
