Drury Lane Offers YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN Valentine Dinner/Theatre Package

image008In celebration of the most romantic day of the year, Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane, will offer a three-course dinner and theatre package including tickets to the Mel Brooks Broadway hit YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN on Valentine’s DayouTreat your loved one to the comedic re-imagining of the Frankenstein legend and indulge Drury Lane’s delicious menu items. The dinner & theatre package is available for $85 per person and the dinner by itself is available for $36 per person. Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14 followed by YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN at 8:00 p.m. Reservations are required by calling Drury Lane at 630.530.8300.

The three-course meal begins with an amuse-bouche of shrimp cocktail, followed by a choice of crab bisque or pear salad with walnuts and gorgonzola cheese. The second course includes filet mignon with roasted cipollini, Provençale herb-crusted rack of lamb, halibut à la Oscar, or grilled Portobello mushroom napoleon. Entrees are served with the Chef’s choice of vegetable. The dessert course includes Grand Marnier chocolate crème brulé and flute limoncello for two or chocolate covered stem strawberries

Starring as “Dr. Frederick Frankenstein” in YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN is Devin DeSantis (Anyone Can Whistle with Patti LuPone at the Ravinia Festival, four years in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, and Pirates of Penzance, Boys from Syracuse and Hot Mikado at Drury Lane Theatre). The cast also includes Jeff Award winner Jeff Dumas as “Igor” (First National Tour of Spamalot Directed by Mike Nichols, Bounce at The Kennedy Center, NBC TV’s Chicago FireThe Merry Widow at Lyric Opera Chicago, Pacific Overtures at Chicago Shakespeare Theater and Winesburg, Ohio at About Face Theatre) and Johanna McKenzie Miller as “Elizabeth Benning” (Mary Poppins at Marriott Theatre,Fiddler on the Roof at Drury Lane Theatre, The Music Man at Marriott Theatre, Sunday in the Park with George at Ravinia Festival and The Three Musketeers at Chicago Shakespeare Theater). The production is directed by Drury Lane Theatre Artistic Director William Osetek (Drury Lane Theatre’s smash hit production of Spamalot and Jeff Award nominee for Best Director and Best Production for Thoroughly Modern Millie) and Choreographed by Jeff Award winner Tammy Mader (Sunset Boulevard, Gypsy, Thoroughly Modern Millie and Hairspray at Drury Lane Theatre).
