“This recording of a live show at Harlem’s legendary theater includes performances by a parade of contemporary vocal and musical giants. Case in point is this stellar performance by 12-time Grammy nominee Ledisi of the song ‘Honeysuckle Rose.’ With full-on big band swing, Ledisi artfully spins an effortlessly bright and brilliantly masterful rendition of this standard. Woo wee!” – Parade

“The latest single from the album is Lizz Wright’s confiding, low-simmering performance of Hoagy Carmichael’s ‘The Nearness of You.’ She begins the song alone, in a stately rubato, before Shelly Berg adds a piano accompaniment about as sparkling and subtle as starlight. A string section adds more luster following Berg’s brief solo, as Wright brings the song home.” – WBGO.org

“…this 80-minute album is pure listening pleasure and is destined to become a favorite of jazz collectors.” – Luxury Experience
