Producers have recently announced that the Tony Award-Winning Revival of West Side Story (Karen Olivo, Featured Actress) receive a national tour. Performances are set to begin at The Fisher Theatre in Detroit, MI, in October.
Additional cities and venues as well as casting for the tour will be announced at a later date.
Directed by Arthur Laurents, the Broadway revival began previews at the Palace Theatre Feb. 23, 2009, and opened March 19, 2009. The cast recording of the Broadway revival recently won the 2010 Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album.
