The Skin of Our Teeth is an ageless and wildly inventive portrayal of the human condition. Through the lives of the Antrobus family and their maid Sabina, Wilder traces the progression of the human race as it teeters repeatedly on the brink of disaster, shivering through the ice age, taking cover at the onset of the great flood and fumbling toward forgiveness in the dark aftermath of war.
