Independent Film Director Kyle Ham discusses his award winning psychological thriller REPARATION, about a troubled Air Force veteran who finds clues to his lost memories in his daughter’s art — while confronted by a stranger looking for answers of his own.
Oklahoma-born filmmaker Kyle Ham studied theatre and film at DePauw University, and film directing under Joan Scheckel. In 1995, Kyle began a long-term screenwriting collaboration with playwright Steve Timm. In their body of work, Kyle and Steve focus on stories that illuminate the constant, dual struggle that characters face: to come to terms simultaneously with themselves and the world around them. Kyle is now based in Baltimore, and REPARATION is his feature directorial debut.
On Saturday, September 10th at 7pm, the Wilmette Theatre will host the Chicago premiere of REPARATION with special guests including with the film’s young star, Brody Behr, Actors Training Center Alum, and Chicago-natives Keith Szarabajka and Jay Silver, alongside filmmakers Steve Timm and Kyle Ham. REPARATION is an independent motion picture about shot entirely in Putnam County, Indiana. It’s a psychological thriller that swirls like a funnel cloud around Bob Stevens — a small-town farmer with a three-year hole in his memory.
