Illinois Arts Alliance To Honor Tracy Letts & Sandra Guthman


       
This year’s Illinois Arts Alliance 2008 Awards Gala will honor Tracy Letts, 2008 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning playwright for “August: Osage County”, which premiered at Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre. Sandra Guthman, Chair and CEO of Polk Bros. Foundation, will also be honored for her extraordinary contributions to the cultural life of Chicago and Illinois. Chicago Shakespeare Theater, 2008 Regional Theatre Tony Award recipient, will receive special recognition for their artistic achievements and advancement of theater.

The Illinois Arts Alliance is the state’s leading voice for the arts and arts education, uniquely combining advocacy, service, and information to advance a creative and culturally vibrant state.
